Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan are really fond of their kids, Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan-Nanda, and they have often taken over social media with their chemistry. Now, as per the latest report, the veteran actors have reportedly gifted their prestigious crib named Prateeksha to their beloved daughter Shweta.
BigB transferred the ownership to the popular author, columnist and fashion entrepreneur through two officially documented deeds. Each deed was in accordance with the plot on which the bungalow stands, reported The Free Press Journal.
As per the reports, the property is spread over an area of 16,840 square feet and the official documentation was carried out days ago, on November 8, 2023. The reports from Zapkey.com also suggest that the Bachchan family has incurred a combined stamp duty of Rs 50.65 lakh for the two deeds. The indicated market value of the bungalow stands at Rs 50.63 crore.
According to the current housing regulations and guidelines, the transfer of residential property from an owner to their rightful legal heir requires a nominal stamp duty of Rs 200 which is inclusive of a metro cess of 1% per deed.
For those unaware, Prateeksha is one of the three prime properties owned by Bachchan and one of the two plots, that covers an area of 9,585 square feet, was jointly owned by Big B and Jaya.
The second plot, which runs across 7,255 square feet, was solely owned by the Shahenshah and Agneepath actor.
The Bachchans are also known to own Jalsa and Janak, both of which are located in upscale Juhu. Recently, the megastar even purchased four commercial spaces in Mumbai’s Oshiwara locality, nearly amounting to Rs 29 crores.
Well, as per a new trend, Bollywood A-listers are turning towards residences nestled in high-end luxurious properties, across Mumbai.
